Difference between brushless motor and brushed motor

Time:2018-03-21 Views:845
What is a brushless motor?
Answer: A brushless motor refers to a brushless DC motor consisting of a motor, its main body, and a driver. It is a typical electromechanical integration product.
Since the brushless DC motor is operated autonomously, it does not add starter windings on the rotor like a synchronous motor with heavy-duty speed under variable frequency speed regulation, nor does it cause oscillation and out-of-step when the load suddenly changes. Permanent magnets of medium and small-capacity brushless DC motors nowadays use high-energy-mass rare earth neodymium-iron-boron (Nd-Fe-B) materials. Therefore, the volume of the rare earth permanent magnet brushless motor is reduced by one frame number compared with the same capacity three-phase asynchronous motor.
What is the difference between brushless and brushed?
A: The difference between a brushed motor and a brushless motor is whether it is equipped with a common brush-commutator. The commutation of a brushed DC motor has been achieved by the contact of a graphite brush with an annular commutator mounted on the rotor.
The brushless motor feeds back the rotor position to the control circuit through the Hall sensor, so that it can know the exact time of the motor phase commutation. Most motors produced by brushless motor manufacturers have three Hall-effect positioning sensors. Since the brushless motor has no brush, there is no relevant interface, so it is cleaner, less noisy, and virtually maintenance-free and has a longer life.
